Survey Kanungo was suspended after the video of him taking bribe went viral. The Assistant Records Officer has also recommended a departmental inquiry. The video of Survey Kanungo Safipur Vinod Kumar posted at the Assistant Records Office at the Collectorate taking bribe went viral on social media. In this, Kanungo Vinod Kumar is seen holding the money received from the farmer in his hand and keeping it inside the file.

In the evening, Assistant Records Officer of Survey Department Prashant Kumar took cognizance of the video and suspended Kanungo. Assistant Records Officer Prashant Kumar said that Vinod Kumar is attached to the Assistant Records Office to discharge the official responsibilities of the survey officers.
